The Carbon Neutralization of Vehicle and Heating Fuels
Synthesizing Carbon Neutral Vehicle and Stationary Combustion Fuels From Biofuel Carbon

This chapter will look at what is the most difficult aspect of combustion - vehicle fuels.  Energy density, i.e., BTU per pound (or kJ per kg) is the dominant parameter.

Some well-known alternative fuels include biodiesel, bioalcohol (methanol, ethanol, butanol), chemically stored electricity (batteries and fuel cells), hydrogen, non-fossil methane, non-fossil natural gas, vegetable oil, propane and other biomass sources. - Wikipedia
